Packing is Complete

 


After several hours of executive consulting, we came to the conclusion that we serve a HUGE GOD. Truly, it didn't take any consulting at all. It was absolutely amazing to see how hundreds of donated items neatly found their place in one of the 14 action packers. Visually comprehending how God would stretch the action packers to accommodate every item.

As we placed all of the VBS materials, medical supplies, teaching items and tools into the AP's I couldn't help but reflect on last years trip and the anticipation of seeing God bless. This year we will have five first time missionaries traveling to Africa. It was a treat to see how excited each of them were as they insisted we find more room for the generously donated school supplies. To watch their faces as we sat on the lids of the AP's to ensure they would close, and the sigh of relief that everything fit. Tamara called her husband Mike in to bring the official UPS scale to ensure we had each AP filled to our 70 lb limit. As we worked into the evening, each AP topped the scale at 70lbs. God is Good.

We are scheduled to arrive CR airport at 5:00 pm on Friday for a 7:02 departure. Our first leg of our long flight will take us to Chicago, a brief lay over and then to London. We will reach our final destination, Nairobi Kenya on Sunday at 6:30am. Dave will be traveling sooner to meet with Adele and gather hut building supplies. His flight leaves on Thursday at 1:35pm. Once in Kenya we hope to send updates, however, knowing the distance it is from ELI and town might inhibit postings.
