School Bags

"God Bless You," was the most spoken phrase as we handed all 96 school bags to the children at ELI. The bags were filled with school supplies, small toys, a few candies and spiral note paper. They were more excited to learn about the children who made the bags than they were anything. As they pulled the photo from the bag they ran to each of us saying "who is this child, what is their name?" We explained that our kids from home made these bags for each of them. Their eyes lit up and with a smile they said, tell them thank you and God bless them. It was difficult not to cry as they showed such graciousness and received the gifts so humbly.
